I made the pattern myself, just used a basic tank top block pattern which I added sleeves and a circle skirt like thing as a peplum to. In retrospect I would have lowered the bustier neckline, it's a bit too high to be flattering. Also I barely made it with the amount of fabric I had, though the striped top looks quite big, which it was, I had to rip open a lot of seams for the allowances. Therefore there are a lot of tiny holes in the fabric that of cause don't look that great overall but I'm hoping that some of them might disappear after washing (they probably will become bigger, won't they?! I'm not ready to admit that yet).
I would have loved to create a chevron like effect in the front but as I've said, not enough fabric. It was fun and I didn't loose anything making the shirt. I'm getting more and more comfortable making my own patterns and sewing with (double) knit fabrics.
What do you think of the peplum trend? Do you own/ have you sewn anything with a peplum? Please leave a link, I'd love to see them. Thanks for reading. Have a nice weekend.

lovely refashion.. i looove refashioning things lately, even more so then making new ones from scratch.. and i also love peplums.. i have a skirt with peplum, and one vintage refashioned blouse, and i plan to make a dress and a shirt too.. and i probably wont start there :)
