purple alarm
This is quite sad to admit, but this is the first, and so far only, piece of clothing I've sewn in 2013.
On the bright side of things, I managed to bust my stash completely. There is not a single piece of fabric left. Just some iron on interfacing and some leather scraps. Actually I wanted to use up those pieces and am now lacking some fabric to sew them onto...
Time for some shopping!

more is more: flexible neon & leather statement necklace DIY
Today I'm dipping my toe into jewelry making again...finally, right? But it's sooo much fun and you can make really cool stuff, similar to the highstreet things but being 110% your personal taste. And this one is especially neat because you can wear this necklace three different ways (inspired by a DIY Donatella came up with).
A few weeks ago, I finally joined Pinterest because I wanted to file some of my inspiration photos. I was mostly inspired by some neon jewelry and the popular Phillip Lim necklaces. Take a look here.
This is the first design I came up with. It's on the more complex side but broken down, the steps are easy to follow and the supplies can easily be found in most craft stores or online. Also feel free to change up some of the supplies; different chains, clasp options, shape of the rinestones, where to wrap with embroidery floss...

Hallo there, anyone still reading?
It`s been a while, hasn`t it? Not sure when, but somewhere along the way I lost the fun in blogging and needed some time to track it back down.
I'm slowly going to easy my way back, but it might take me a bit of time.
Also, I haven`t been very productive over the past 4 months. I took on some minor projects but nothing too complex and I haven`t touched the sewing machine until 2 weeks ago.
Still I wasn`t completely lazy, so I`d like to share a few bibs and bobs, as I always find it very inspiring to read about DIY inspiration- duh.
Of course I couldn`t resist the polka dots on jeans trend, so I upgraded my denim Keds with some fabric paint for dark fabrics. And I made some jewelry, cause that`s what I like to do: I reproduced this bracelet, these earrings and used the leftovers for a simple tube-bead-bracelet.
